Improving student academic outcomes

I am committed to improving student learning outcomes by making sure the board maintains focus on academic achievement and addressing opportunity gaps to ensure all students have access to a high quality education.  I believe that our students are capable of achieving great things, and it is our duty to provide them with the resources and support they need to succeed.

 

Ensuring all classrooms have a highly qualified teacher

I am dedicated to creating an environment where teachers can thrive. I believe that the success of our students is directly linked to the success of our teachers.  CCSD should strive to provide a work environment that is both supportive and rewarding.  We need to focus on retaining the best and brightest teachers, so that we can continue to offer an exceptional education to our students. We also need to create a competitive environment to attract new teachers. I know this will continue to be a challenge due to the national teacher shortage, which is why the district has to be competitive.

Promoting fiscal responsibility

As your next school board member, I am committed to promoting fiscal responsibility throughout our district. The financial stability and health of our schools is key to providing the best possible education for students. I believe it's important to effectively manage resources and prioritize spending to ensure that we are making the most of every dollar.

Transparency & Accountability

I believe that parents and students have a right to know what happens behind the scenes and it's important for school board members to help keep them informed about district policies and decisions. With clear and transparent communication, we can work together to make sure that each student receives the best possible education.

Ensuring our schools are safe

We need to take the safety of our students and staff very seriously. Our goal should be to provide a learning environment that is free from harm, where students and faculty feel safe. I am committed to working with our community to foster a culture of safety and security for everyone in our school.
