Matthew Tramp was born and raised in Hays, Kansas. 

He graduated from Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in 1991.

He attended
Fort Hays State University and majored in Physical Education.  

Matthew is a former youth softball umpire and basketball referee.

Matthew moved to Las Vegas in 2002.







 

Matthew has worked for over 25 years in the Food & Beverage industry, both as a food server and bartender, including the Las Vegas casino industry.  
 

Throughout the years he has served on various community boards and committees. Some of his responsibilities included financial auditing, overseeing neighborhood grants, helping redefine school attendance zone boundaries, and revising and enforcing HOA and rules & bylaws.

Matthew was appointed to the AZAC committee to represent CCSD District E in 2017. He currently serves as Chairman of the committee.  During his service he reviewed recommended changes for school zones on behalf of the CCSD Board of Trustees. The commission worked with staff to help relieve overcrowding at existing schools and draw school zone boundaries for new schools as they opened in the district.

In 2020, Matthew was appointed to represent Ward 1. He currently serves as the Vice Chair.  The committee’s responsibility is to approve grants applications designed to assist in improving the quality of life for Las Vegas Neighborhood Associations.
